Date & Walnut Bars

These. Are. SO GOOD. Family recipe, I believe. Best served warm with some ice cream on top, but amazing any way you want to eat it. :)

1 package Pillsbury Moist Supreme Yellow Cake Mix
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup butter, melted
2 eggs
2 cups chopped dates
2 cups chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350°.
In large bowl, combine cake mix and brown sugar.
Add butter and eggs; beat 2 minutes.
In a medium bowl, combine dates and nuts.
Stir the mixture into the cake batter.
Spread evenly in well-greased 13 x 9 inch pan.
Bake 45 minutes. Cool and store.
